I also offered my perspective on the recent U.S. bombing of ISIS targets in Nigeria, framed by officials as an effort to “protect Christians.” I emphasized the need to move beyond simplified narratives and to understand the deeper drivers of violence in Nigeria, particularly land and resource disputes, rather than reducing a complex conflict to a single religious frame 🌐

Foreign policy demands clarity, restraint, and honesty. Performative actions without strategy do not protect civilians. They often endanger them ⚠️
